INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Jeff Hutson recently earned the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certification via the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE).

Earning the CRC® typically requires 75 to 100 hours of preparation before sitting for a four-hour exam. In addition, certificants must meet specific education and experience requirements. The CRC® program demonstrates a mastery of both retirement accumulation and distribution planning concepts.

Hutson is now accredited or certified in the three areas of his practice: retirement plan participant research, communication, and retirement readiness. He is accredited by the International Association of Business Communicators and holds a Professional Researcher Certification through the Insights Association, the nation’s leading professional organization for market research and data analytics.

The CRC® program uniquely enhances a professional’s understanding of retirement planning concepts and principles, while demonstrating their commitment to the retirement planning profession. The CRC® certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Independent third-party “program” accreditation signifies that CRC® certificants are an elite group of qualified retirement professionals among the array of retirement-related designations available today.

InFRE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit education organization devoted to raising the retirement readiness of the American worker. Since 1997, InFRE has accomplished this mission by operating as a highly respected independent and objective educational resource for retirement planning focused professionals.

Hutson holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a focus on economics from Butler University’s Lacy School of Business, a master’s degree in public relations from Ball State University, and a certificate in market research from the University of Georgia.

He has worked with defined benefit and defined contribution plans and participants since 2006 and has led Relational Gravity, an Indianapolis-based benefits engagement consulting firm, since 2003.
